Physiotherapy

Anita Venugopal - Owner and Physiotherapist - Embody Health Centre Waterloo

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy involves an assessment of the muscular, bony and ligamentous systems. This detailed evaluation allows us to personalize a treatment plan to help restore joint mobility, rebuild muscle strength, and improve endurance and balance.

Physiotherapy Treatment

Treatment is inclusive of hands-on manual therapy, a personalized exercise program, and can include modalities such as acupuncture, dry needling, and ultrasound. Our Physiotherapists use a variety of techniques. Their training equips them with a large skill set to draw on, to help find the best methods for healing.

I started seeing Jess and Natasha in 2018 for prenatal pelvic floor physio and massage. They are both so fantastic and knowledgeable and everyone at the clinic is super kind and helpful. I recommend Jess to all my pregnant friends who haven’t tried pelvic floor physio!

Recently started with Jessica for treatment of pain caused by chronic lack-of-mobility issues that I shrugged off as genetics-related and something I would just have to deal with for the rest of my life. After a month of weekly treatments and take home exercises, I have noticed dramatic improvement in my mobility and the pain is pretty much gone.
