If you’ve been experiencing the quarantine blues, trust us, you’re not alone! Isolation has taken a big toll on our daily lifestyle and routine. Physical activity is an aspect of our life that tends to be put on the back burner. Especially with gyms, yoga studios, sport leagues and running clubs all being closed. A lack of exercise can affect our quality of work, mood and energy levels.

Did you know that physical activity helps to improve your mood, and decreases stress, anxiety and depression? Being active has many health benefits, both physically and mentally. Some key benefits of exercise include: maintaining strong muscles and bones, reduces your risk of chronic diseases, increases energy levels, improves brain function and memory, controls your weight, reduces chronic pain, and helps improve sleep quality!   • Set up an exercise area at home

  • Schedule your workout like a meeting

  • Virtual workouts with a friend

  • Use workout videos/online gym training sessions

  • Keep a workout log

  • Set a series of smaller, achievable goals

  • Perform some exercises at your desk
